God Could Have
The God of All could have put an angel there,A vision for me, so I'd know He did care;Or He could have started the tolling of a bell,Some resounding sign, saying "you've done well."Instead a deer appeared against the trees,Her soft, brown form encircled by fall's leaves,Gold, red, and green colors framed her white tailWhich flicked as she watched, then loped up the trail. This beautiful animal from the woodWas El Shaddai's sign that indeed I couldBe the godly woman I yearn to beAnd that My Lord truly cherishes me.
