God is in the business of changing hearts.

Heart-SurgeryAlmighty God is in the business of changing hearts.  The LORD places various attitudes in people’s hearts.  Notice the wide variety of traits in the list below, collected from Scriptural references. As you study the Bible add your own words to the list, because mine is not exhaustive. By way of definition, the heart is the center of your physical and spiritual life.  It is the source of  your thoughts, passions, appetites, and intentions. The Bible also uses the word “soul” when referring to this primary part of your being.Throughout history God has put the following into the hearts of man: hardness, fainting, brokenness, uprightness, boldness and strength, praise and gladness.God has shed light on hearts hidden in darkness, exposing the motives therein. The LORD has given people hearts to know Him.  He has filled people’s hearts with a love of God’s law. He has planted His divine intentions and His personal concerns within hearts. He has changed desires within hearts to be conformed to his will.Take a look at your heart.  Proverbs 28:14 says that people who harden their hearts will fall into trouble.  Jesus heard people honor God with their lips, but he saw into their hearts and said those hearts were far from God (Mat. 15:8). Do your own heart exam.  Judge yourself.Do you need a change of heart?  Do you want your heart revamped with a new attitude?  Or maybe you would like a whole new heart, dumping the hardened, prideful one and replacing it with one that loves God?   All you need to do is ask.  Humble yourself. Give God permission to make your heart over.
