A Special Ingredient in Your Prayer Life: Divine Power
When we pray we need to be aware that the god of this age has blinded our minds. This is particularly true of the minds of unbelievers, who live in a state of darkness. They cannot see the light of the gospel in the Person of Jesus Christ. Even we believers have seasons or moments in which our spiritual eyes have been prevented from seeing the glory of God.
The suggestion of Roger Morneau is that we claim 2 Peter 1:2,3 and pray: “Lord, please give me and _(name)________ the grace and peace we need to make the following a reality.” I want the knowledge of You, Precious God, and of our Lord Jesus Christ and your divine power given to us so that we may have all things pertaining to life and godliness.”
I am asking that the divine power of your Holy Spirit rebuke Satan and his spirit associates who think they control our human lives. Surround _____(name) ____ with a spiritual atmosphere of light and peace so we can make intelligent decisions. Since your son, my Lord Jesus Christ, has already paid the price of these blessings, I am not holding back. I am asking for mighty miracles.
Finally, Heavenly Father, may this prayer experience bring me closer to You, so that I may know even better the power of the resurrection.
