Just Keep It Simple: Love!

Life can be overwhelming at times.  If you wake up in the morning and want to “take on the world” it is mind-boggling, almost so much so that I am tempted to crawl back into bed. The needs of the people around me are deep, intense, and multiple.  The heartbreaks I witness are painful, devastating, and irreparable.  The physical environment and social networks which influence us are toxic, destructive, and diseased.  Where do we start to make this world a better place?

Let’s place our eyes right on Jesus.  A ballet-dancer fixes her eyes on a single point on her horizon as she pivots in a twirl so that she doesn’t get dizzy as she spins.  Let us fix our eyes on Jesus.  Specifically, let us hone in on how He loves.  Jesus did many things when he was in this world, such as heal the sick, exhort the people, provide food, change thinking patterns, deal with the politicians, repair families, worship, pray, preach, and even sleep.  And it is overwhelming to think of doing all these Christ-like things.

So how do we manage? We look right at the heart of Jesus from whence comes Divine Love. We simply love, and let the Heavenly Father do the rest.  We simply love, and let the Spirit do the changing. We simply love and LET JESUS DO IT ALL.
