  KEY TO FREEDOM

the Walking the Twelve Steps with Jesus 

        at the Albion Correctional Facility.

The Lord’s open hand offers you gifts to receive.

Tools to cut the chains and shackles so you can leave

this realm of darkness, with the guilt and shame you grieve.

How can this be, since this freedom I can’t conceive?

You say Jesus is nearer than I dare to believe?

Holy Spirit hovers near me in the air I breathe?

This grace happens, only when to the cross you cleave.

Its the slaughtered Lamb’s blood, spilled out for your reprieve.

Evil’s curse ends, when Christ’s victory is achieved.

This free gift is yours, so all burdens you can leave,

on the back of the Creator,  these you can heave

‘cuz God loves you deeply.  Let Him in.  And believe.
