Psalm 91 Poem
For those who are enduring hardship, walking through trials or simply living in a difficult circumstance, this post is for you. I wrote this poetic version of Psalm 91, I hope that it brings your heart peace in the midst of life. When life is hard, my mind’s helter-skelter,I turn to God and find peaceful shelter.Aches and pains, tears and pride are my day’s cares.I must step ‘round the landmines of these snares. This planet’s a place filled with ugly traps, whether set by folks or self, I need the Lord’s maps.In God’s true word, I find just where to go.When harm hits me, I am safe from the foe.God’s angels guard me, shield me from darkness, and protect me in his solid fortress. In warmth and light I hide right on his wing, fighting evil, while to Jesus I cling.I claim Christ’s shed blood, and call on the Lord. And in battles I am quickly restored. The Lord’s love and faithfulness is my shield. With his praise on my lips, I simply yield.
Now your turn, what verses do you cling to in times of trial or hardship?
