Psychotherapy

  • Session One

    The first session focuses on my identifying what the key problem is. What does he or she want help with? I take the history in order to understand the “whole story.”

  • Session Two

    Psychodynamic therapy is my theoretical style. This means I attempt to discover what the emotional dynamics are underlying certain symptoms. Once we are able to change the dynamics, the symptoms are healed.

  • Session Three

    Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one method I use. It includes the person identifying her thoughts, expressing her emotions, and then changing the problem behaviors.
