A Prayer adapted from Luke 21:34-36

Lord Jesus, I beg you: make me attentive and ready, serviceable and strong.  Give me your Spirit so that at the drop of a hat, I can demonstrate power to do extraordinary deeds. When external chaos in the world and internal corrosion in my soul occur give me eyes to see it and then to take flight.  Do not let me get trapped unexpectedly by the anxieties of this life. Propel me to the Intimate presence of you, Jesus, Son of God.  Establish me right there.  Make me like a firm foundation, unmovable.  I want to stand with you, surrounded by you, my Beloved Savior.
