A Prayer to my God, the God of Suddenlies

Abba Father, you are my God, the God of Suddenlies. The Spirit came suddenly as a mighty rushing wind.  Jesus came suddenly walking on the waves. The angelic host appeared suddenly over Bethlehem. The earthquake suddenly opened up the prison.Prepare me for your suddenlies.  Position my heart to say “yes” to whatever you do, whatever happens. I bow to you, knowing that your suddenlies come only as a result of your grace and sovereignty.Don’t let me miss you, Jesus.  Don’t allow me to become complacent, or to make assumptions about you.  Go ahead and stretch me, Lord.  Help me to recognize you and your doings immediately. Command me to run to you and with you.I can hear you saying, “Do not be afraid, Beloved” but I know I will, even if I don’t want to fear.  So hand me a surge of Godly courage to get your job done.I’m volunteering as your harvest worker and yearn to mesh with you in this labor. I know any fear I have is of Satan, so free me from fear. Open me up to your peace that passes understanding.  Bless me with the trait of being a fearless risk taker.  In the event of a “mistake” on my part, I know that you are my Redeemer, and that you live, live, live!  Today I want to know how wide and long and high and deep is your love as you surround me with your suddenlies for the sake of your Kingdom.  In the name of Jesus, I am yours.I credit the ideas in this prayer to Will Hart, and his fearless work for the Kingdom.  Read his first book, GodRunner, and his section on God of the Suddenlies. In Christ,large-signature
