Deliverance Ministry - Part 1: The Reality of Demonic Activity in My Counseling Practice.
Recently I have been studying deliverance, which was 33% of Jesus’ ministry. He preached. He healed. And he cast out demons.I have committed my life’s work to treating people with emotional issues and mental illness. Now I have been led by the Holy Spirit to see that many of the problems may have their origin in demonic activities. This may sound bizarre and scary, but it is accurate. The good news is that Jesus is the victor, and defeated all evil, and especially demonic entities or strongholds that plague us emotionally.Sometimes my patients are surprised to discover that I am more concerned about their personal relationship with Jesus than their mental health symptoms. That is because I have learned that for healing people’s minds and hearts, they must connect their spirit in a personal relationship with God through Jesus.Recently I have seen life changing experiences happen in my own life and in the lives of people when we confronted our demonic activity. We needed to repent of our involvement with it, rebuke its influence on us, and break the legal hold any demonic force has exerted in our lives. Therefore I am sharing with you some important concepts I have learned in this study of deliverance. I credit the Global Awakening curriculum and in particular Peter Horrobin’s book, Healing through Deliverance, with the ideas I will be reviewing in the next two blogs. In Christ,
