HOW TO GIVE GOD CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE

Do you know how to give control of your life to God?  Do you have trouble following-through with turning all over the God?  In this video I answered a question from my bread basket that read:  “I want Jesus to be the driver of my car.  But I have a hard time giving him control.  What ideas do you have?”

The reasons we fail to give control to God is because of our belief system about God.  Ask yourself:  Do I believe that God loves me and has my best intentions in mind?  If the answer is no, ask God to help you find when that belief system started, and correct it.

If you do believe that God loves you and wants your best, there are at least three blocks which hinder most of us:  our pride, our fear or our sense of shame.  Again ask the Holy Spirit to show you which one is a problem for you.  Take a look at your soul.  Is the problem with your thought life?  Your emotional life? Or you will — the chooser within you that says “yes” to God.

Finally, use a technique called Spiritual Breathing to repent of that negative mindset.   Breathe out (exhale) the bad, through confession.  Breathe in (inhale) the good by asking the Holy Spirit to take over and fill you.  His power gives you the fruit of the Spirit, and places you in the “sweet spot” for your life.  God created you to be dependent on Him.  He wants you to give control, because in that position you will be the best person God intends for you.

Father God, thank you for loving us each unconditionally.  I pray that Holy Spirit would touch each person reading this,  and burn that truth into their hearts. We declare we want to be a child in your arms.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
