Rafynha’s Testimony

On the Global Awakening trip with Randy Clark to Ponta Grossa, Brazil (December 11, 2016) a 35 -year-old woman, Rafynha, walked for the first time in her life.As a premature baby Rafynha had been placed in an incubator and on the third day of her life the nurse forgot to turn the oxygen on, thus damaging the baby’s brain. Many of the Christians of the 120 on Randy’s team took an interest in Rafyhna, and were praying for her.  On the first night of the healing conference, Dan got a word of knowledge about someone with suicidal thoughts, and after Rafyhna acknowledged that, Dan prayed for her and she was released from a spirit of suicide.  Sherrie, one of our team intercessors, was shown in a prophetic vision the area of Rafynha’s  brain that had been damaged by the oxygen deprivation, and had prayed health into it.On Saturday morning Doreen and Julie approached Rafyhna and asked if she would like prayer to walk, and she said “yes”.  We assured her that God loved her, regardless of the outcome of our prayers for her healing. She envisioned herself wrapped in Jesus' arms coated in his blood.We spent well over an hour laying hands on Rafyhna  while Holy Spirit led the prayers which included the following:  Rafyhna prayed to forgive the people who had hurt her and to forgive herself for wanting to walk but not believing that Jesus would heal her.  We rebuked the spirits of infirmity and affliction and any curses that may have been thrown at her.  We prayed God's power, fire, and life into her.When we kept our hands on her skinny malformed legs and hands, we could feel the shriveled muscles expand like sponges filling with water, coming to life.  On that Saturday, while wearing sneakers Rafynha walked supported for fifteen minutes, and then went out in the spirit. We prayed the prophetic vision of the valley of dry bones, the plump line from Zechariah, and called her body into alignment.During our afternoon breakat the hotel Doreen and Julie claimed Isaiah 61 and 45, praying each verse over Rafynha and her family. We later learned that her stepfather was not a church goer but, having seen the changes in his daughter, his faith was increasing.Saturday night, our team headed to a city park with a crowd of 10,000 people for a evangelistic meeting.  By God’s grace, Doreen ended up sitting two chairs away from Rafynha and her family,  and they were able to worship together at the revival.The next night, Sunday, Julie had the opportunity to talk with Rafynha before the service began. She reported a dream the previous night in which Doreen and Julie were anointing her.  We also learned that she had kept her dream of walking sometime during her life in a "locked box" and was just starting to believe it and to open up that box up. Once, when she was out in the Spirit, Rafynha sobbed, “Jesus,  please forgive me for not believing.”After Sunday night worship, during the first part of the sermon, Julie sat on the floor by Rafynha's wheel chair and prayed Holy Spirit to pour life and strength into the lady’s torso. Rafynha’s stomach and rib cage started to twitch and shift and her breathing became rapid. When she was assured that her body was gaining new life, and God was re-forming her in reverse order with a speeded up time frame, she wanted to keep going. Such courage!When Rafynha did express fear about the changes in her body, we shared the story of Peter being fearful in a storm.   Despite his fear, he wanted to walk on the water, and asked Jesus to command him to “come.”  With that, wearing tall black boots, Rafynha rose up out of her wheelchair with our help, and took some tentative steps with Doreen holding her hands,  Adryan and Julie supporting her back. The steps she took that day were entirely her own.   We were all singing Alleluia.After she tired, she fell against Doreen and went out in the Spirit and we laid her down.  Her mother said we could remove her boots and socks.  We asked God to shoot His life-giving power through her legs, and the legs started twitching, her knees started bending, her feet started reflexing, as one would who was being tickled. Her mother said she had never seen her daughter’s legs move.Rafynha was laughing in the Spirit. When she woke up smiling she tried walking again.  This time, Rafynha placed her bare feet down, using the strength God had given her. She said she had never felt her bare feet on the floor during her whole life.   She "danced" forward, holding hands with Doreen about 15 -20 feet.  With this victory, Rafynha hugged her best friend and her mother, and shared hugs with us.We had parting words with this courageous lady about Jesus loving her, and wanting to dance with her.  We cautioned the family to be wise about using their authority in Christ to stand against the enemy.At the end of that last night, Sherrie, our team intercessor, shared with Doreen and Julie that she had had a prophetic vision of Rafynha walking normally in the future!!!The marvel of this testimony is that God had targeted Rafynha from the womb for this victory that we are sharing. The whole church in Ponta Grossa had been fasting for 40 days in preparation for this miracle and at least 3000 other miracles, including the blind seeing, the deaf hearing, people’s pain and disease being healed.P.S.  Julie has been in touch with Rafynha by email.  Rafynha reported on 12/14, “I look great.  It looks like it's another body.  And also the spiritual change surprised me.  I lack words to describe everything;  I'm living with Jesus.”Please pray for her now because she has also experienced some difficulty breathing and some feelings of fear as to this radical new life style.  Pray for her father, who as of 12/11/16 had not yet committed his life to Jesus but was noticing the changes in his daughter and was eager to learn more.Submitted with gratitude,Julie Caton with Doreen MorehouseTo see this miracle, watch the video below.In Christ,
