Transformation: Part Three | Why would you want to be transformed?

It can be a struggle to “be transformed”.  Surrendering to God and resisting the devil is no easy matter. There is pain, heartache, and embarrassment.  Is it worth it?  What is the value of being transformed?

  • You will be released to be the one God intended you to be. (Romans 12:2)  Only God knows the full extent of who you should be.  He will perfect you according to His will.
  • You will live in the abundance God promises you.  You will even receive double portions for periods of your life that have been lost or destroyed. (Is. 61:7)  All things — every action, every cell, every mistake —  will be redeemed and made new through Christ. Everlasting joy will be yours.
  • You will do even greater things than Jesus did, because the Lord has filled you with His Holy Spirit and anointed you to go and complete His ministry.  (John 14:12.)   This is made possible by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, the energetic force behind transformation.
  • You will face the fire of judgment without fear, because all that is part of you which has been transformed into Christ will survive that fire. The Day will bring the transformation to light. (1 Cor. 3-12-15)

Given this four-point payoff as one goes through the process of transformation, I can only wonder why more Christians don’t pursue this goal.  Please let me know your thoughts.  How is the process of transformation going for you?large-signature
